Poetry: Farzad Faramehr
Translation: Asadullah Jafari “Pezhman”
To your beautiful face, Hina Jan!
To your lips like grapes, Hina Jan
Thousands of muttaqi with his followers
Sacrifice of your arrogant eyes, Hina Jan. “Muttaqi”
Take a cursory glance at us
When you see me, don’t tell me to scarf!
As the order arrived
Do lacquey twice as much for us. “Hina”
You put a purl shawl on your head Hina
Don’t ask me to take a cursory glance
No one here knows like me
My dear, the ways & customs of servanthood. “Muttaqi”
